Steve has lived in the Lake District since 1974.
He paints locally inspired landscapes in watercolour.

Coming back to his first love of watercolour painting after many years Steve is pleased to be producing and showing his work again. Original work is also currently available from The Beach Hut Gallery in Kents Bank, Grange over Sands and Ivy Bank on Finkle St in Kendal Cumbria. Steve is also a member of the Made in Allithwaite group, showing work from a variety of different makers several times a year and also a member of Green Door art group.

On leaving secondary school in 1982 and after completing work experience at The Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal he completed a Foundation Course in Art & Design at Cumbria College of Art.

This was followed by a first class honours degree in Fine Art from The University of Central Lancashire (then Preston Polytechnic) and a Post Graduate qualification in Television Production from Bournemouth University.

During his media career Steve has worked for Mersey Film & Video, running a Film & TV production facility in Liverpool for ten years, Granada Television, The Visual Link, and as a freelance editor for a number of Premiership football clubs.
